1
research
Jubilee Media (8.4M Youtube Subscribers) promotes empathy through unique formats of conversation. My partner and I studied Jubilee’s forms of media, audience demographics, and opportunity for scaling.
We conducted a survey to gauge interest in college-specific Jubilee-style content. Within a few days, we collected 3,000+ college student responses from all over the country––spanning almost 150 colleges. The results proved Jubilee@’s potential for scalability across America’s college students.
2
partnership
We developed concept ideas, fleshed out the arguments for desirability, viability, and feasibility of the Jubilee@ program, and pitched it to the Jubilee Media team. The conversation developed into calls with Jubilee Media leadership to build out the strategy & roadmap and invitations to join Jubilee Media creative sessions, sharing our work and collecting feedback from Jubilee’s team of directors.
3
prototyping: videos
I co-directed “Spectrum” videos with USC-specific topics – casting a group of students and prompting conversation to highlight the nuances of a commonly generalized group of people. We brought on a team of filmmakers and editors to produce the videos.
4
prototyping: virtual live events
I co-directed “Spectrum” virtual live events – similar to the videos, but with a live, interactive audience.
5
prototyping:
in-person live events
We ran multiple iterations of in-person live events, in the following formats: “Spectrum” (a commonly generalized group) and “Middle Ground” (two opposing groups). We focused on curating an intimate environment, diverse perspectives, interactive & immersive experiences, and systems for scalability.
